Why does that seem familliar to me? :)))) i know what you're going through! my cat does the exact same thing... but i really can't keep him up during the day because i'm not home at that time so he does whatever he pleases...it's not that he does what he wants the rest of the day... the worst thing is that he's learnt how to open the doors in the house so now it's a little bit hard to get rid of him at night. and about at this time of the evening he starts jumping on the door handle in the kitchen so he can come into my room or my mother's...he's so annoying! about what you asked...i don't really know if there is any "cure" for this kind of things, it's against their nature to stay awake. as you may know , cats spend over two thirds of their lives sleeping so it's not anything wrong with your cats. i really understand that they annoy you when they wake up...and i believe it's even worst when they are more than one lol :))

cats are nocturnal animals. they will sleep during the day if you don't work to switch their time. However, if you keep them out of your bedroom they won't disturb you when you sleep. Having said that, I sleep with from 4 to 12 cats in my bedroom every night, including the 6 month old kitten and they don't keep me awake because one of the things I do is trap them in the room so they can't run around the house. I also try to get them to play in the earlier part of the evening so they are tired by my bedtime. Cats sleep 18-20 hrs a day so if you play with them in the few hrs before your ready for bed, they will probably sleep through the night.

OOHHH thats a tough one. My cat sleeps with me, and she stays in bed all night long. I just would take her with me to bed and hold her till she fell asleep, she would leave at first, but now she sleeps with us all night long.
