Has anyone seen Wicked, the musical version of the wizard of oz prequel. It is the best musical i have ever seen. It even won Tony Awards for the setting. The story is basically how the two witches grew up and were friends. It portrays a lot of propaganda on how people interpret the green withc as bad in the film. Im not going to give away the story because it is the best musical ever. Even the Apollo Victoria where it is held is set up amazingly. Idina Menzel plays the green witch Elpheba. She also won an award for the musical. Any Musical fans, Pretty lady fans, and Wizard of oz fans strongly recommend it.

I so so so agree with you. I went to see this musical twice in a week and believe me the tickets were not cheap. I am so sad that Idina menzel will no longer be playing Elpheba because she fit the part so well and has such a brilliant voice. I look her up on youtube all the time. She is a very talented performer and hope to find her in England again.

Idina was great in the role, but Shoshana Bean made the best Elphaba.

I'm seeing it for the first time next week on 4/14...can't wait. I'm so excited. My friend gave me the soundtrack for Christmas, so I've been listening to it. I read the book and know the story, but just can't wait to see it live on stage!!

I love Wicked; it's right up there with 'Phantom' and 'Les Mis'. Neither the book nor the play is quite a prequel to 'The Wizard of Oz', though, because part of the timeline overlaps. The musical and the book are also very different; and if you haven't read the book, I suggest you do. Gregory Maguire is a fantastic writer.

I loved it! so much in fact that we went twice in one week. It's fantastic, visual effects are brillant and also slightly camp! I would recommend it and the soundtrack is brillant. You should go and watch it as its fab.
