I have made these in the past for some of my diabetic familiy members and friends. They are much better than I expected, not too sweet and soft and moist. Remember, if you are a diabetic, You will need to check with your dietician before eating any cookie. Never just assume that because it says it is for diabetic's that it is ok for you to eat. Applesauce is the secret ingredient in these cookies. Applesauce makes a wonderful moist cookie. Hope you and your family enjoy Healthy Sugarless Cookies 1 cup flour 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. ground cloves 1 tsp. allspice 1-1/2 cups raisins 1 cup unsweetened applesauce 1/2 cup oil 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1 cup quick oats Mix dry ingredients and add remaining ingredients to moisten. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased (or parchment paper lined) cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes.

ha ha Now you are really pulling me into loving your recipes! LOL It is hard to find recipes that are for diabetics that actually still taste good! And then most use the artificial sweetners...and most often, those end up tasting too sweet! I am going to have to try this! Thanks for posting a great recipe like this!

Good recipe Villageanne! I think it's a great idea using applesauce in recipes to help all of us eat healthier even if folks aren't diabetic. Thanks tons for the Sugarless Cookie recipe!

Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe. I am always looking for cookie recipes that everyone in my family can eat. I, my sister and 2 brothers are type 2 diabetics. They, as well as I, will be thrilled to know that they can have cookies now and then. And it is not as costly as some I have found. Please put this recipe in the section for people who have diabetes. They will thank you. I will be sending this recipe on to my diabetic friends and family. Thanks again, Kowgirl

Another great cookie recipe. Thanks so much for sharing it. I am not a diabetic but I am watching my carbs and sugar has a lot of carbs in it so these may be great for someone trying to loose weight. Thanks again.

Oh, this is great. My Papaw has diabetes, and my Nana has a very hard time making something good for dessert that he will actually eat. I'm going to print this and mail it to her. She doesn't get on computers. After having to work on one all her life, she has decided that was enough - so I can't e-mail this to her. : )
