FreeCycle has become such a blessing to many people, and especially to our landfills. Whether you have something you want to rid yourself of and someone comes to take it off your hands or you have a need for something that another is offering, it is a good source for all concerned. What wonderful things and helps have you been able to receive off of your local (or maybe not quite so local) freecycle group?
We've obtained a like new sliding glass door unit

I have managed to get rid of large electrical items and unwanted furniture. I got a beautiful oak dining room suite for my son's new house and I got an electric guitar for myself. I don't really ask for very much because I am too busy trying to get rid of all my own clutter.

I completely understand! clutter, clutter oh my! I have a lot that I would like to donate, but my husband is such a pack rat! I have an 1800's upright piano and an organ that take up too much room and just end up being a catchall as people walk past them. Those I would love to donate, especially because I would not have to be the one moving them again!

You could sell them as antiquities on an auction and get paid really well, perhaps your husband would like that. :o)

I got rid of one of my kittens. I love Freecycle. I like just seeing what people want to get rid of.

I have used recycled clothes for many years, and I think they are more comfortabe and of course cheaper. If you get tired of the clothes, just leave them back and get some new ones without paying so much.
This has helped me a lot to be able to use my earnings to more important things like taking care of my health.
In Sweden and Finland we most times have to pay a little, one or a few Euros but most people can afford it.

I had just moved from one State to another and a good friend of mine (in my "new" State) hunted out Freecycle and Craig's List for me for some furniture. I got a couch, a couple tables, a lamp, and she gave me her old computer chair that she had replaced. She also gave me her armoire. I have to say, though, my favorite thing I got after I moved up here was the glider rocker chair. It's in perfect condition and it's so comfortable and just FABULOUS! I love it!

I got myself an alloy wheel for my car to replace my steel spare wheel and my car is a 2001 model so these things arent exactly cheap to buy. i also got a nice set of 4 dining chairs as the ones we had were faling to bits so i put in a wanted advert for them. i also got a dvd home cinema system which is just the best its got everything on it, i got it because our bedroom dvd player broke and it was on offer. when i got it i then put the livingroom one in the bedroom because this new one was better than the livingroom one lol. oh and i got a nice colourful dinner set too.
i have given away several computer bits and books and a lamp and some other nicknacks.
