I love essentail oils. I keep a variety on had to mix in my water in my rainbow vacuum cleaner. It just puts such a wonderful scent in the air while I am using vacuum cleaner. It puts me in a better frame of mind too. I was doing inventory of my essential oils so I can order the ones that I am running low on before I completely run out when I thought that maybe some of this information may be of value to some of you. Did you know that you can make your own Room Air Freshener Spray? You can and it is easy.Do you know other mixed scents and what they are good for? Share with me Essential Oil Room Air Freshener Spray Recipe 1 cup distilled water 8 - 10 drops essential oil of your choice spray bottle, with a fine mist setting label Pour the cup of distilled water into the spray bottle. Add the drops of essential oils and shake very well. Cap the bottle, and allow to sit for a few hours before using. Shake the bottle before each use to evenly distribute the scented oil throughout the water. Use the label to describe what sort of air freshener each bottle is. And be sure to use the fine mist setting on your bottle, so the spray will be distributed nicely in the air. Following are some interesting ideas for wonderful air freshener sprays, but you can also create your own favorite blends using scents that you love and enjoy the most! To use the following recipe, just add the recommended amounts of essential oil to the spray bottle with the distilled water, and follow the instructions as above. Please note that essential oils can vary in potency - for this reason, you can add more or reduce the amounts of essential oil recommended in each recipe, to adjust it to your own needs. Different brands of essentail oils have different strengths. I use essential oils in the skincare items I make for myself. For this pupose I will get the 1 dram bottles from a reutable vendor, so alot of times they are expensive enough that I son 't use them for larger areas or for cleaning. The essential oils that come in 4oz bottles are the ones I will use for household purposes because I am more interested in the scent than the properties of the oil when absorbed into the skin. There is usually enough volatile essence to still have the desired effect on mood and some oils, like eucalyptus, are only used during times of illness or in the winter when we cannot open windows often. One thing I love to do is to lace a bucket of floor wash that has Murphy's oil soap in the water with lavender essential oil. It only takes a few drops to make the whole atmosphere change.

I have solid oak floors all throughout my home. I use murphys oil in a bucket of water and I do add a couple drops of essential oil. I add different scents depending on my mood.

Essential oils can be used in the bath salts like I shared in your other discussion on epsom salts. They must be used with care since some of them should not touch your skin straight from the bottle. They are seeminly expensive and only because the bottle is small. You only used drops in most cases so it can go a long way. So glad to see this here for more people to enjoy in their lives. Thanks for sharing!
