I was looking around on www.pinkdotbeauty.com and found some natural beauty tips I'd like to share. Our skin is very sensitive and whatever we put on it is absorbed by ourbody. So many beauty products have chemical and weird ingredients with really long names like Dioxynethenolium (265). (I made that up by the way..)Here are a few of the recipes:BANISH BLACKHEADS: Mix 2 tbls oatmeal, 4 tbls plain youghurt, 1 tbls lemon juice and 1 tbls olive oil into a paste and gently apply to skin. Leave it for 5 minutes and rinse with cold water. Let face air dry. TOOTH WHITENER: Mash some strawberries and dip your toothbrush into it. Brush your teeth with strawberry mix to remove stains. WRINKLES AND CROWS FEET: Chop seedless grapes in half and crush onto your face, targeting wrinkles and crows feet. Do this every day and you will see a difference in no time. (apparently this is a popular ingredient in wrinkle creams) FOR OILY SKIN: Put half a cucumber into a blender and blend until smooth. Apply to face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse off with cool water and tone face with a mix of 10 drops lemon juice and 1/2 cup of water using cotton balls. PUFFY EYELIDS: Grate raw potato and mold it into a mushy pack. Place on eyelids and leave for 15-20 minutes. The starch in the potato will calm down the puffiness. FRESH MAKEUP: Keep your makeup looking fresh and longer lasting by spraying your face with mineral water and allowing to air dry before applying makeup. EYECREAM: Place unscented castor oil around your eyes before bed. Plastic surgeons use this on their patients after surgery!MAKEUP REMOVER: Almond or sesame oil will remove makeup well- even water-proof mascara. HAIR CONDITIONER: heat up 1 cup of mayonnaise and pply to dry hair. Cover with a plastic bag/plastic wrap and leave for at least 1/2 hour. If possible leave in overnight (put a towel over your pillow to soak up any mess). Rinse out in shower. FACIAL EXFOLIATOR AND CLEANSER: mix equal parts honey and sugar and apply with gentle circular motions. Leave on for 15 minuntes and rinse off with warm water If anyone has anymore, feel free to share them!

These are some really interesting tips! I will have to try the one about using strawberries to whiten teeth, as it sounds much tastier than a lot of the commercial methods. I've also heard that slices of cucumbers over your eyes can help with puffiness, but I don't know the science behind why that works.

Olive oil adds lots of moisture to your hair. An egg yolk facial mask will dry out your acne. Honey actually helps for stretch marks as well, so does lavender oil. Vegatable shortning makes for an awesome body moisturizor.

Lots of good advise! I use a sugar scrub to keep my lips soft: brown sugar with a little olive oil and a soft toothbrush.
