How much do you spend on SMS each month?

SMS or short messaging system is one of the best thing that could have happened in the telecommunications era. It has cut down our phone bills tremendously. In fact, telecommunication companies often compete with each other by reducing the cost of sms. This benefits the end users most.
Why not take some thoughts and check how much you do actually spend on sms. Are you using sms just for work or essential events? Many young people use the sms rampantly just to message their friends on all kinds of who knows what. We could have save some money here as part of our personal finance strategy. Share your experiences.

My husband and I use SMS to keep in touch with our family and friends while we are working - we drive a truck cross country and are away from home for about a month at a time. Our cellular provider has a plan where we get unlimited messaging for about $10 a month. We are also allowed 500 messages to friends who have rival providers.

You are really fortunate to have such low cost sms package. In my country, although sms is relatively cheap, we still have to pay each time we use it. I wish we have what you have. Unlimited sms for 10 bucks a month.

I have my Sidekick with covered with Swarovski Crystals and I also have the sidekick data plan through T Mobile. That includes unlimited text messages so I guess including the bundle I pay an extra 20 bucks a month for SMS.

I rarely spend much on SMS. I am only paying roughly between $5-$10 for SMS (25 cents per sms sent). Actually I am now in the capped plan that means I only need to pay $49 per month and I can get up to $250 worth of calls, including SMS charges too. To me this plan works wonderfully.

too good. every day i send sms to my friends regarding current topics such as which movie is releasing, what is running in sports, some thing new events etc. etc. which i share by sms not by calling phone. and average i spend monthly minimum Rs. 20-25. that's all.

My mobile network give 3000 sms per month just for Rs30/-.........they give 100 per day and they didected RS 1/- per day from our account balace.....am using prepaid plan...and i will 100 per day !!!
