It's the old cliche "love at first sight". Do you believe in love at first sight? Or do you think love takes time? Personally I don't believe in it. What do you think and why? (feel free to share stories)

I think that true love grows, and becomes more passionate, then reaches a comfortable level of respect and trust later on. Since at the start love has to grow, therefore, I don't believe in love at first sight. It could merely be infatuation or even extreme adoration which could be a strong feeling that may be difficult to suppress. A lot of people think that they have indeed fallen in love because they are actually in love with 'the concept of love itself'. They dream of that certain individual that would embody their ideals, and project that idealistic feeling towards someone that fits their ideals or someone who feeds their longing.

I agree with you 100% I think love is an overused word. A lot of people tend the make the definition of love a very general one. Thanks

I do believe in love at first sight not a lust at first sight. Love takes a whole time to show it. Loving somebody was not just for a minute but for a lifetime.

I dont. Yeah you can be infatuated by a person or attracted to them at first sight, but you cant love somebody just solely based on appearance...otherwise yeah you are shallow. I think you grow to love a person....and its not something where you can just say "Im going to fall in love with this girl/guy"...it just happens. Usually before you guys are in love you are friends, and it based among that friendship. You love someone for their inner being.

No, I dont. If you met someone for the first time u would possibly get attracted, but never in love... falling in love is a process, you have to know the person very well in order to love him/her.
