how can we control traffic

hi friends,
in my city traffic problem is very hactic which is causing lots of intruption in almost everybodies daily lives so how can we over come this problem,what steps we have to take to control traffic and to make our lives and going smooth?plz post ur suggessions.

well almost everywhere now is been suffering from traffic. it is jsut means that, that place is really a busy place.
but what i think is that drivers or comuters have their own participation for the problem. we must be disipline and adn must be giving also.

friend ur right its each and eavry bodies responsibility to maintain their responsibility but still what the actions hould be taken from traffic authorisation what rules will be better to implement to control this hac?

Traffic police should take out some recaution! even we need to follow the traffic rules and regulations. They are trying to solve problem by constructing fly over, so that traffic follow should be continues.....
When we need to help them about the traffic jam.....

If retired people takes initiation ste and get trained how to control the traffic, they have to come voluntarily and do this job. For this traffic police gets help and stress wont there much, and traffic police people also should help the voluntry people in all aspects. So that retire people will get engaged with work they can also feel happy. To some extent we can solve the problem.
In India we rest aged people. Atleast by seeing their age and enthusiasm, people will move in discipline way. We can control the traffic.
