Will you only dress in name brands? Did you ever?

Or do you really care? I was just thinking about this as i just responded to a discussion about clothes, and the washing labels, and then i started thinking about labels labels, and then clothing labels..well, My thought process isn't always normal. Anyway, do you care if it has a label? Gap, old navy, A&F? I think of this because i like to tease my wife. Many moons ago, she was something of a yuppy. And i was the skater boy. Now? she doesn't care. she'd rather have gas in the car, a shirt she likes off clearance, and food in the house than a 75 dollar shirt. although the one thing we don't skimp on is shoes. Actually, thinking about it, i think we all own at least one pair of Vans here. But otherwise? Does it make you feel better to know you're wearing expensive clothes? Just wondering....

I could care less about the label. Heck if someone wants to pay a $100 for a shirt because of the label, I'll make them a deal. They can give me $80, I'll get a shirt on clearance for a few bucks & sew in any label they desire. Sound like a deal? LOL
Seriously, what is a label? It's a name. Labels / tags can be removed and you wouldn't be able to tell the expensive one from one off the clearance rack in Wally World. With or without the label it's a piece of material. Under those clothes with the expensive label, you are still the same person as you were 5 minutes before when you were standing there naked. Do people really believe the name brand is going to change what people see when they look at you? If you have a big bottom, a Mommy's belly roll , flat chested / big chested , etc... you still have it even if you're wearing the top of the line " Billy Bob's " new Spring line. Lol
So, what's the purpose ?
Seems like the better deal would be to put everything you can into a warm smile. I think people would be more impressed with that than a name brand.

I'd much rather buy something that's on sale, or bargain priced and take that extra 100 i didn't spend on clothes, and go to the aquarium with my family. Or buy that new book, or get that new bookshelf we've been putting off. LOL personally, as long as i'm comfortable in my clothes, i'm not interested in what the label says. I care what my family thinks of me, and that's about it. At work i wear a paintsuit over my clothes, so that's not an issue. And everywhere else, as long as it's clean, matches and isn't TOO holey, LOL, then what should i care?

Nope, it doesn't make me feel better to wear a certain brand.
But I have never been like that. I see something I like, it does not matter if it is from WalMart or Target or Old Navy. To me...it is clothes...and that is it.
Heck, right now my favorite shirts are free ones from the Blood Bank where I donate blood at! LOL My daughter even loves them that she goes with me each time to make sure she gets one also! LOL
And I don't know how many times we have bought from the clearance rack. :)

My wife is the same way, as she's the one that usually buys the clothes for everyone in the house. LOL just because it's clearance or "gently worn" doesn't make it any less good. why should anyone else care that my pants cost 20 or 250? LOL okay, that's an exaggeration as i'll NEVER buy pants that cost that much. LOL

Personally, I could care less about labels on clothing. The only thing that I will not skimp on is a good hair brush. My fiance thinks it is funny because I will pay up to almost $10 for a hairbrush but prefer to shop at thrift stores for my clothes! I also refuse to skimp on bras - although I do by them at Wal-Mart or K-Mart!

Although I have some branded clothes, I don't really care about what brand I wear when I'm going out. As long as its comfortable, looks neat and presentable, it will do. I don't really care about impressing people, especially those on the street that I do not know.

I don't really care for brand named items of clothing, as long as the item I am buying is on sale, sits well, looks nice and is comfy. I always look for bargains.

Yes, I like to look my best and name brands look a lot better than unbranded ones.
