I guess ur askin for any kind of movies. My personal favorite is Gone With the Wind. The ideal Hollywood epic with every element about it great. The Godfather is also great, as is Psycho (1960), and Casablanca. If u don't mind musicals Singin' in the Rain is also very enjoyable.

My all time favorite child hood movie is the Lion King. today my favorite movie would probably be The Notebook. it is a sweet love story, sappy just like girls like it, but a wonderful movie all around!
