i mean the caretaker could even be your friend, or relative or a person u have employed. would you trust them with your kids and house? can you leave the whole responsibility to them and go out of town for something like 4-5 days??

i've done it quite a few times maybe because i have someone who can be trusted at when it comes to my kids. i'm lucky enough to have a helper who doesn't treat us as a "boss" but a family.

i would not mind. i would firstly make sure that the caretaker is a good one. if she is then i would haev no problem at all. i think a child should not be too dependent on parents and should be taught how to manage on his own also sometimes. even if it were a small baby, if i trusted the caretaker i would leave my child. bu trust is important..
