in this hi-tech world when we are almost everyday facing lots of pressure due to work and other responsibilites, we forget to express our love. therefore it is important to pay attention to significant moments of our life. birthday is an important event of life, its time to thank God and praise him for giving you life. some people really cherish this day and makes a party on this day. similarly marriage anniversaries recalls an important event of our life. i just feel these are significant days for family reunion and to express your feelings of love, which we fail to express due to overburden of work. so, do you celebrate your birthdays and marriage anniversaries or just let them pass by?

Special day - rose celebration,Special day
Just let them pass by.....! Atleast for me its like that....lol. We celebrate, by having dinner in hotel or cake/pastry in home. But, I don't like that kind of celebration. What u said above...marriage anniversaries recalls important events of life, day to express your feelings of love, which we fail to express due to overburden of work, I completely agree. We should focus on that. Having dinner n sweets is not a celebration. That we have on ordinary days too. What it means, I just let those special days pass by.....!

yeah i too celebrate with my family, because we rarely go out for dinner to any restaurant, so these days we get an oppurtunity to spend time with our loved ones.

When I was growing up, birthdays were a big deal. My parents would always throw a huge party everytime my birthday comes. Now, that I'm no longer living with my parents, I do not celebrate it as much. Sometimes a few friends would throw the occassional surprise treat, but beyond that it is just an ordinary day for me. Maybe because a birthday reminds us that we are growing old. LOL! As for anniversaries, I'll be honest, my husband and I have to struggle to even remember the date. So, no celebrations, with this couple. I guess, for us the date is insignificant. As long as things are fine, we can always have a daily celebration of our relationship.

Thatis just a fancier way to say we cannot even remember the date.

Oh yes, our family are big celebraters - doesn't matter how old or how young we have a big family party. #1 Rule birthday or anniversary person doesn't have to work that day. #2 Rule special person or persons gets to pick their favorite meal and cake. #3 if you can't be there you had better be in the hospital or my mom will make you wish you were.
