Homemade mixes are a great way to keep your family healthy. Today commercial food has so many preservatives and MSG that you can eliminate when you make your own homemade mixes. It really does not take too long to make mixes. If you would take one day and make all the mixes that you would normally purchase, it would save you alot of money and you would be feeding your family healthier food. Does your family love chocolate pudding. I remember when our kids were small, we used to make "pudding in a cloud". They just loved it. I would let them help make it. I was sure that they were getting enough calcium when they eat it. They loved to cook and this was so simple. We started with homemade chocolate pudding and whipped cream. We would put whip cream in the bowl and then put chocolate pudding in the middle thus "pudding in a cloud" was born. They would make each persons individual bowl and when we were finished eating dinner, they would serve desert. They were preschool age and they felt so big. There father would just brag on the desert and their faces would just glow with pride. This is the mix that we used to make the pudding. Chocolate Pudding Mix 2 1/2 cups nonfat dry milk 5 cups sugar 3 cups cornstarch 1 tsp. salt 2 1/2 cups baking cocoa Mix and store in airtight container. To prepare, add 2/3 cup mix to 2 cups milk. Heat and stir constantly while boiling. Cool, then serve.
