If the number of Women are W, number of men are 2W. W + 2W = 84 W = 28 So the Number of Men are 56 and Women 28 Next month 8 Women joined and the number of women became 36. 4/3rd of this is 48, which is the number of men. So the men have decreased from 56 to 48. 8 men have left.

With 84 members there would be 56 men and 28 women. After 8 women joined there would be 36 women, which requires 48 men to generate the ratio of 3 to 4. Therefore 8 men left the club.
