People are opposing Pacquioa's interest to politics. A survey made in the mannypacquiao website who favor to manny's political interest. As the result 90% of the total opposed. Some rumor that he will backing out for running in May election. But he didn't finalize whether to run or not. Well Manny shouldn't have to enter politics to help people. Politics will destroy his image to the Filipino people.

I totally agree with you goalkeeper. The pacman did lose some of his popularity when he announced that he will be running for congress. But he had second thoughts when he got booed at a campaign rally for Lito Lapid. He has not definitely said that he's backing out but even Mayor Atienza and his lawyer are saying that it's not time for him to enter politics.

Mayor Atienza? If i am not wrong he's the one who convince pacman to enter politics. I don't know what the hell that comes in his mind and making an statement "It's not time for him to enter politics". Now that people reacted and refuses pacman's political interest, they're now become a good adviser for pacman.Well its up to pacman if he will pursue his interest to politics, then he will take the consequences.

you are definitely right. why don't he just stick to where he is good at, boxing that is. he'll just definitely ruin his "hero" image once he enter the politics. and he doesn't know anything about it to begin with. his popularity is just being used by some politicians. and sadly, he's giving in to that. think it over, manny!

As a Filipino, on pacquiao's candidatory, i am not in favor with that...according with his recent interview's he refused to be in politics: he said that he is a boxer and not a politician then why he could be in the political world? And we all knew that Pacquiao dont have enough knowledge on how to lead millions of people in his place. HE made a big contribution to Philippine History on Games, Filipinos are proud of him for he bet every opponent he had, If i will be in him, i should focused my time with my career.. Pacquiao is a good boxer, and i never think that Pacquiao would be as good to lead his mean in his land...its not easy to lead in the society, its not a punching bag....!

I agree! I think it's better for him to just concentrate in his boxing career. And he's not capable enough to go in politics, but that's only my opinion, I don't want to offend anyone who are in favor for his running!

Maybe he saw the survey and he change his mine...Imagine that 90% won't vote for him if ever he will run.

Personally, I don't think Pacquiao is cut out for politics. First, he's still active in boxing. I mean, what will happen if he wins? Will he go on a leave whenever he has a fight someplace else? Will he stop boxing entirely? This time is not the right time to do that, IMHO. He's still in top shape and he should continue with the sport. Second, he's just not capable enough to be in politics. I would say he'll just win due to his popularity and not what he knows and can actually do in the congress. Lastly, he doesn't need to be in congress to help the people. Even now, he's doing things that politicians do (helping the less fortunate) ONLY during election time.

Well to fair to Manny Pacquiao, if he really wants to enter a politics why he shouldn't start as Barangay Chairman or Municipal Councilor. I think in this position is good to start his political career.
