madrock is a brand that offers a lot of strap shoes and they're pretty cheap. boreal is a well-known brand with a great variety, but a little more pricey. red chili (my personal favorite) has a velcro called the dosequis. hope this helps.

Thanks. I am familiar with madrock I just never tried it. never heard of red chili and I could not find a site that describe dosequis. Please attach a link if you know one about dosequis. Thanks again

Bufo has some cheap shoes that are commonly used in indoor rock climbing gyms because of their durability and all-around comfort. You can check them out at http://www.rockshoes.com/ Of course, there's mad rocks, which are a good shoe that I've used numerous times in the past, the Mugens are nice, and one other that I can't recall. Actually they have quite a few nice velcro shoes. La Sportiva also has lots of good shoes - I can't recall the names off hand. Other then that, Amazon.com actually has some really cheap shoes (2$0-$40) that are generic unkown brands. Just do a search for climbing shoes.

I just bought a pair of Montrail Magnet Climbing Shoe--Vegan (Spring 2007) for $45 from http://moosejaw.com. I found a code on fatwallet, and moosejaw was having a sale. They're great shoes. I recommend Moosejaw for great deals on any climbing gear.
