if you love someone i think you would want them to be happy after u were gone. i might ask them to never forget me or to please remember the happy times we had , but i dont think i would ask them to never remarry, that sounds like trying to control from beyond

sure you can say no but im trying to think about how i would word it , i mean i would not want to make a dying person feel any worse about things, but i may explain to them how i feel and ask them why they would want me to ramain here all alone forever. i think i would tell them if i remarry you will always be in my heart and the memories we have will always be with me ,you will never be forgotten.

love comes in many forms, i have been maried twice and i love both of them differently, and even tho im no longer married to my first husband i love him in a different way than i love my husband now, i think the lost husband should hold a special place in her heart always but she should go on in her life and make herself happy.

I don't think it was fair of the husband to ask that, he was dieing and knew he wouldn't be around, looks to me like he would want her/him to be happy, 31 is awful young to spend the rest of their life alone. Besides you can not replace someone so to speak, my x will always mean certain things to me and no one can ever take that away from me.
