I think its much easier to respond to discussions when you first join MYLOT. It gives you the opportunity to get the feel of mylot. You can easily make 40-50 posts per day. You can observe the different star ratings people have a blue 10 star next to a person's name means they have a very good reputation. You will get your star after you have made 100 posts. Welcome newbie. Let me say from my short time here I've learned posting is more fun. I respond a lot also. But you get more friends & friends request from good posts. Dont make the mistake of short one liner topics. Anyhow start discussions that are good & before you know it'll you too will be here every cahnce you get. have fun here.

As a new member, I think responding for a bit until you get the hang of things is a great idea, but don't be afraid to join in on posting your own discussions once you are comfortable with it. Whether posting your own discussions or responding to others, try to go for at least 3 or 4 lines, and be sure to stay on topic. Make sure you stick to the rules and you will do fine.
