If someone asks you a question can you tell a little white lie ?

WE were talking about a young friend of ours yesterday , He just cannot tell a lie , and when I found this today I just wondered what the people on My Lot would say lol xx
What to say if your wife should ask you:
"Do I look fat?"
The correct answer is an emphatic:
"Of course not!"
Among the incorrect answers are:
a. Compared to what?
b. I wouldn't call you fat, but you're not exactly thin.
c. A little extra weight looks good on you.
d. I've seen fatter.
e. Sorry what did you say? I was just thinking about how I
would spend the insurance money if you died.

My friend, I will never go to heaven for the amount of white lies I tell and 99% of them are to my housemate! I do it to save aggravation, upset and arguments and for a peaceful life! If my wife asked me if she looked fat, hmm loved those answers I think I would opt for the easy way out, no luv you're not! Keep it short and appease them, it's safer that way LOL!

Oh yes then I am quite sure that some husbands would tell a little white lie there just so the wife did not get upset about it, and the husband would probablhy chose d as the answer. If he did not want to get his wife all upset about it.

i think its ok to tell a little white lie as long nobody gets hurt
ive did it before and so has a lot of people

LOL! I loved this, especially the last one.
In all seriousness, I don't know why women ever ask men that question. We are just setting ourselves up to get angry or lied to! We know very well how we look; why don't we wait and see what our men say to us? It would make things easier for both genders, don't you think?

I tell them with my husband becuase I hate getting yelled at. I always feel guilty. He lies to me, but not about the right things. He will tell me I am fat and a slob, but then he will go and play with the money and lie about how much he spent or how much we have. I hate lies, I really do.

LOL! too funny. I am a pretty honest person myself, but there are somethings you just have to tell little white lies about, and this is one of them! My old boss used to tell me i was painfully honest. like if he asked me how i was, if i was tired i'd tell him i'm tired, lol he wanted to hear that i was good and ready to work lol. oh well better to be honest i think in most cases :)

well some people really always end up saying little white lies just not to hurt somebodys feelings., but in fact i guess its better to tell them straight right out from your point of view your piece of mind... atleast they and you can still recover from any damages done... be true!!! thats just it!!!

hmm nice example. it really depend on the person, if she is open to criticism, i will just tell the truth, "you're fat unfortunately". but if she is a little bit sensitive thats the time i have to say the white lie, "oh you're not fat, just a little chubby", LOL!
