I just recieved 2 small bushes they looks like twigs, from ebay. I would like to plant them so they grow lush and green with flowers. Should I put better fertile soil around them after I dig the hole and plant them? I have clay soil here in Ga. How far apart should I plant them? Thank everyone

I have a hydrangea bush that I am waiting to plant as well. The salesperson told us to put it somewhere that it would get a limited amount of light a day and water it once a week, then plant it in the middle of April. We live in Virginia, so we probably have to wait longer then you, but you may want to wait until the middle of this month at least. You should dig the holes a couple feet apart (unless you want to transplant themin a couple of years) and add some potting soil to it so that the roots will have an easier time getting established. They should be watered often. They probably will not bloom the first year or two, but they should grow. Good Luck.
