I have a friend who is boarding for 4 years., He used to baord since he started his college life.. It is necessary for him to rent a room to save time and money.. In his almost 5 years of stay in that boarding house, he keeps on telling me that he really hates boarding. If it is not that difficult to go home and travel 2 hours a day plus 2 hours back he won't be renting a room. He always says that it is very boring to board..

I agree with your friend. There is nothing in this world like you live in your own home with your family. I was always was with my parents, when I was studying also. After my marriage I moved with my hubby away from my parents. But I miss them everyday. I always want to live with them. But in life everything is not possible. We have to move because of my hasband's career.

yes that is part of being more stable and independent.. we need to move on and go away from being homesick if we have built our own home and family.. But for now in this stage of being single i also experiencing what you friend had experienced. I alwas miss everyday that i am sleeping with a friend.. They say there is no such place as your own home. And now, i felt difficult because we are going to tranfer in another location in manila.. I am currently staying with my parents here at the province. I really don't want to move to manila but what can i do it is part of my job? waaahhh...

I loved boarding school, though sometimes i must admit i did feel homesick. That for me was the hard part but we had big grounds to run amok in and many activities to keep us busy. I think maybe there i developed my artistic flair as i was so actively participating in this that and the other. The nuns also used to be quite good humoured and were not the old bats that are often portrayed in hollywood movies lol. No, on the contrary boarding was great fun for me. I mdo hope your friend sorts himself out and finds what makes him happy. Great post.
