I was reading today about this family in Florida. The husband is a duck hunter and he shot a duck and put it in the fridge. When the wife opened the fridge, it was still alive. She then took it to a wildlife refuge type place where they are working on keeping it alive. It has a 75% chance of survival, but never in the wild again. Too Funny...I love these kind of stories.....

When I was young,I was my fathers retreaver when he and my grandfather went bird hunting, this one time,my dad hit a duck and I went after it,when I got to the car,I found it only had a broken wing, instead of wringing it's neck as I was told,I put it in the backseat with me,and when we got home,I had him take us to a vet. he fixed the wing, and I fed the bird in my backyard for around 2 months to heal. when it started getting cold,it took off south. the nice part is,that it came back to our yard every year for almost 6 years from then every summer. Talk about knowing a safe haven.lol

Humans..go figure. Sometimes I wonder if we'll ever know what the heck we're doing!
