what's more important? trust or respect?

I think trsut is the main value of a relationship. It's also linked with respect so when u trust in someone surely u respect him/her

For me respect is the most important value. I believe all values to be part of a hierarchy, which obviously differs from person to person. But it's our values that make us behave the way we behave. They are all relative, that's why respect for another persons values for me is in the first place. I could never trust a person I couldn't respect.

Well, I couldn't respect someone I couldn't trust, but I might be able to trust someone I couldn't respect, so I think that trust must be more important. But it would also be hard to have a relationship with someone I couldn't respect!

trust and respect both are complement to each other. if you do not trust others, how you will respect them. that means, if i have bad feelings how is it possible to regard him whether he is boss in office, parents at home, friends etc. both respect and trust is important for human beings.

there are actually three things needed. Trust by both in each other and for the wife to respect her husband and the husband to love his wife. It is important for respect for the couple be mutual as well or you cant maintain trust.
