In winter, I seem to make more cookies than any other time of the year. I think I just enjoy the added heat that the oven gives me. LOL I just hate the cold. This is a wonderful cookie. I love cherry chocolate chip cookies. My daughter just called and wanted me to email her my recipe and I thought I would share it with my friends on mylot also. I think you will love this cookie. It is different than any cookie that I have ever eaten. The cherries make it better. Hope you enjoy it. Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 cup brown sugar 2 tsp. maraschino cherry juice 1/2 tsp. almond extract 2-1/4 cups flour 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries (approximately 15 cherries, chopped) 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips Combine the first 4 ingredients. Add flour. Stir in cherries and miniature chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
