As I ams tarting up my own bridal/formal makeup artistry business, I am curious to know if any of you have had any good/bad/memorable experiences. For example if you were really happy with your makeup artist, what made them good? Or if you were disappointed with them, why was that?I'm hoping to gain some insight into what people think makes a good M-Up artist.

An M-Up artist over-plucked my friends eyebrows for a wedding when she did her make-up, almost half of her eyebrows was gone. Also i noticed that some make-up artist are makes the face too 'made-up',it look un natural especially the bride.I think a good make-up seems like there is no make-up at all.

I loved my make-up artist for my wedding. She did my hair and make-up and was fresh out of cosmetology school. What I liked is first, she listened to me. When I told her I wanted it LIGHT and neutral, instead of caked on and lots of colors, she listened. Secondly, she looked at my skin tone and my eye and hair color and made suggestions based on that. She was great. She really seemed to know a lot about skin and colors, and I really appreciated it. AND she told me the products she used so I could buy them for myself. If you think you might be working with people that will want to BUY the make-up you use on them - PM me about how you can make a few extra bucks by selling stuff to your clients, too... just a thought.

Really there were many such experiences in which some are good and some are bad. A makeup artist feels good only when the client likes his/her job, same when a client rejects an artist job, then that moment was really a bad one. http://www.bridalmakeupartistmumbai.in
