Why do father and son easily have a quarrel?Is not the father qualified?

My friend always complains that her husband is not welcomed to come back by her son(10 years old) even if her husband spend a whole day and night at work on duty. If her husband happened to go business for some days, his son will feel very relaxed, for he is allowed to stay in the same room and have a chat with her mother before sleep.She said father and son often quarrel about things which will not happened between she and her son.
Is it Fraud's Oedipus complex.Moms easily get along well with sons, dads with daughters. Is not the father qualified?

yes its right.. according to the psychologist froid.. son is the fathers first enemy and daughter is the mothers first enemy.. its right that every human has certain type of complexes..

Maybe there is something between the father and son that's not right..maybe he's mean to him or maybe he doesn't think his dad treats his mother right. it could be that they are too much alike, and just dont get along.
