Do you dye your own hair?

Actually my husband dyes my hair.. No salon for me..He does a good job and I do it every 6 to 8 weeks..depends on how much gray I have.. Right now I have alot so Friday, payday, I will be going to get a box of it...My youngest sister did hers for the first time (she is 42) and she said it turned out great...the one thing she said she forgot to do (and told me not to laugh) was that she didn't wear the gloves, so her hands are all stained...Honestly..Am I the only one that got the brains in my family? LOL...Yes, I did laugh...

I dye my own hair, also. I used to use Garnier, but now I use Loreal. It is much better. I love dying my hair. I've always wanted it to be red, and now it is.

yes i do my own hair as it is not that long i like a colored called afican violet i can only find it at big lots for like $2-$3

I used to dye my own hair, but I swore to myself that I'd never dye my own hair again. lol I think the salons do it so much better, then I'd just rather leave it in their hands. Since I do that though I don't do it nearly as often as I did when I dyed my own hair.

I have been dying my hair for a good few years now, currently it is black with purple streaks.

Yes i to am guilty of this. Its is way cheaper than paying for it at a salon !!!! I just go to Sally's Beauty Supply Shop and by what color that I want and it is very easy to do it your self.

I used to dye my hair every few months. I am trying really hard not to do it anymore. I am fairly lucky to have blondish hair. The grays aren't so noticeable. I read an article here about all the uses for peroxide. One of them was using half-strength peroxide in a mister on your hair. It is wonderful! My hair has no noticeable roots and lovely highlights. I just have to remember to deep condition weekly.

yes i dye my own her. i also perm my own hair. the only thing that i do at the salon is get it rinsed out and blown out. it just cost so much to get it done there. i get a box of my favorite dye for $16 and the salon cost $45. now what do you think

Yes I dye my own hair because it is a waste of money going to salon where the results are just the same. I think it is easy to dye my hair because I know the procedures, and yes, it's cheap but still looks nice.

I don't dye my hair at all anymore. When I used to, I did it at the hairdressers sometimes but then ended up doing it myself eventually at home and it was just as good. If I were going to go blonde though, I would let the hairdresser do it.

Yes, I do it myself because its very expensive when it is done in a salon. It's just the same way, just read and follow the directions of the product.

Yup I sure do dye my own hair. I don't do it often but every once in a while I will get bored and change it. I never do anything drastic just a little lighter or a little darker. I will cut my own hair as well. The only thing I don't do myself is a perm and that is only because I can't put all the rollers in myself. :)

I dye in salon once a monthe but these days I am so busy I go only once every two months and if necessary now I do by my own sometime....its not as good as the salon though but it saves my time and money of course...first time t was really bad but now its ok, friends dont laught atme...

I always do it myself, It is easy and saves heaps of money and it is as good as what the salon would do. Sometimes I add highlights and people have commented on my hair and they think it is professionally done and amazed when I tell them I did it myself....

I used to dye my hair often before. But I always did it on my own and never went to the salon for it. I just buy my own dye and apply it at home. The instructions are easy and can be done by any individual. Salons charge way too high and they don't even use all of the dye on your hair, especially if it's short.

I don't dye my hair often, only sometimes when I feel like I want a change. I usually do it at home because it's cheaper of course :) I colored my hair at the salon as well a few times, and actually the last time I did it,just before Christmas. it was done at the salon. It was going to do highlights and it's a bit more complicated to do it at home. But when it's just straight coloring I usually do it at home. THe price is better and although the quality might not be as good as when done in the salon, nowadays the difference is not as big as it used to be.

Yes, I too dye my own hair at home. The last time I did it though, I used the same product I always use and the same color and everything and it turned out to be totally wrong! It was like the colors in the bottle were wrong and it was more orangish than auburn. I am getting ready for my class reunion and I would like to get some highlights in my hair and I think I am going to go to the salon for that one.

I do, but I was a hair stylist before I became a preschool teacher. When I quit doing hair, I actually taught my husband how to color my hair, so now he does it for me.:)

I don't because I am afraid of ending up with pink or purple hair like some of the old ladies who have had hair dye mishaps because of the mix of chemicals in hair products.
