Actually, I disagree. You see, I listened to it backwards without looking at the lyrics, and it sounded like gibberish. When you have a guideline of these "subliminal messages" it starts to sound like that. Just the way your mind works. Someone just went though and picked out words that sounded similar to the noises they were making in reverse.

I'v come to the conclusion it's all just coincidental when it comes to the lyrics from stairway to heaven,...but for a while i did believe there was something there, jimmy page was after all heavily into witchcraft and the occult.

Another urban myth. How many times has this been said of how many rock and metal bands. This is one of those myths that seems to be perpetuated time and time again, it's rubbish.

I've never tried playing it backwards myself, but I did recently see a TV show where they demonstrated the part that does seem to quite clearly say something about Satan. If it was deliberate it was probably just a publicity stunt, that sort of thing was fashionable then and the bands were all trying to out do each other with shocking content.

Yeah, crazy. Completely untrue, but crazy.

I've never tried it but so far I'm pretty skeptical as to whether or not it is true.

I remember some years ago sitting in my 5th grade English class listening to my teacher play the song backwards. First he just played it and asked us what it said. None of us had a clue. He then played it again and asked us again. Still no answer. He then said "Does it say this?" and said what people thought it was supposed say. We all then heard it. I don't believe myself that it is really true. But it is interesting. - Mike
