Are you not ashamed?

To those who do not believe in God, can you disprove what God says? "... whatever is under the whole heaven is mine" (Job 41:11). You eat, you drink, you breathe, you benefit from sunshine, rain, and everything under the whole heaven which God claims to be His own and yet you blaspheme Him. You ought not to be enjoying the things my Father in heaven owns. Okay... prove that these things are owned by somebody else and not God.

I think that those who say that they do not believe in God believe in God really. They just don't understand. Nobody can live without God. Even those in Athens before believed in other gods but they also believed and sacrificed to the UNKNOWN GOD and Apostle Paul let them know the true God unknown to them. They acknowledged the existence of a God supreme to those they knew. I think that this is what is happening to those who say that they don't believe in God for while they are saying that they don't believe in God, they are at the same time saying what is said in the Holy Bible and that is an acknowledgment that there is God. I believe that there is just confusion existing in the minds of those who say that they don't believe in God.

Those people are just confused and they don't understand what they are saying. God is not man who is selfish. God is generous, kind, and loving. God gives gifts to all and He sustains His creation despite the fact that there are so many people who are wicked and do not acknowledge God.

God is so loving and merciful that He gives to all men including those who do not believe in Him and not only do not believe in Him but deny His existence. In our case, as people here on earth, if we do not obey our father, he will surely punish us, he might even drive us out from the house and he will not let us benefit from what he has. In fact if the case is serious, our parents might even disinherit us - we won't be able to inherit anything. But that is not the case with God. Even if we blaspheme Him and say and do all things against Him, He still loves us and is waiting for us to repent and go back to Him. He is so patient to wait for us like the father who waited for his prodigal son to come back.

I try to stay away from "God or No God" discussions. It really is a matter of choice and upbringing. But you sound so emphatic about ownership and, not to be rude, but I think it's a little zealous to imply that anyone owns the elements. I mean, God didn't say "let there be light. oh, and by the way, it's mine." The sun shines its face upon the earth, I live on the earth therefore the sun shines on me. I have to assume that's okay with whomever owns the sun. By the way, I don't believe in your God, so it is impossible for me blaspheme against him (or her?) because I am not playing by his rules. Surely, you're not saying that because I don't believe in a singular personality known as God, that I don't deserve to live. Is that really the judgement of a loving god or just the ravings of a fanatic follower?

Dude, who the heck knows WHAT god did or didn't say? The bible is a collection of stories, fables, parables. Like Aesop or the Brothers Grimm. Wonderfully illustrative tales of human behavior and the perils of our decisions. The bible is not a history book penned by the hand of god. And please don't give me that rhetoric about it being written by men "inspired by god." INSPIRE, as in "to breathe life into." According to you, god breathed life into all of us, therefore he inspires all of us. ALL of us. I know that's a scary thought but you really do yourself and your god a disservice by being so condemning and exclusionary.

"The bible is a collection of stories, fables, parables." And who collected them? I am very interested and eager to know who the collector is. I have many versions of the Holy Bible in our house and I do not see in any one of them that so and so is the one who collected them. With your other statements, it seems that you believe in God:) You are breathing the spirit of God anyway so you can't go away from Him, whatever you say or do.

I am not ashamed of anything regarding my belief or lack thereof. I can neither prove nor disprove what a God that I can neither prove nor disprove exists says. Do you follow? You have your faith and your beliefs and they sustain you. I have my lack of faith and disbeliefs and they sustain me. Under your system of belief, I am hellbound. I understand that. I accept that. I am not confused. My $0.02 at the moment.
