Tom Cruise: a True freak, or are we being unfair with him?

I was just wondering about Tom Cruise. In the last couple of years he has been involved in many issues, none of them being his latest movie has been a great success, which is what we were used to before. All the mystery concerning his child, her weird marriage, his belonging to that science church....has created an aura of "being a freak" around him. Do you think he has really lost it? that he is a freak or mental? or do you think that the rest of the world is wrong and we're judging him too severely?

I dunno if i would use the word freak - "freak" reminds me of Michael Jackson who is in a catergory all of his own!! I've never been a fan of Tom Cruise - he just always seems so arrogant and unapproachable ... and I really don't like him as an actor and don't see why he should be paid the money he is. I still can't believe that he gave up Nicole Kidman ... and ended up with someone like Katie Holmes. If you are a movie celebrity - you've made the choice to be there. With the job comes the media and all their accusations of you. They say 99% of the "gossip" that comes out of the media is made up anyway - so who knows what is true and what isn't.

I think he is arrogant and has been able to cover that up for many years. He has shown to be a jerk with no sense of humor, and has also tried desperately to get air time bt jumping on the couch or start public arguments. I think he is going through a midlife crisis and losong it. He must have looked in the mirror one day and noticed that he is aging and didn't like it. I thought he still looked hot with age. He could have been one of those men like Sean Connery, handsome even when he got older if he hadn't acted like such an idiot. I don't go see his movies anymore because when I see him I can't watch the character he's playing, all I can see is some guy that I used to think was a good actor and has freaked out and acted like an a$$hole in public. Rumors are rumors, I have based my opinion on what I have seen him do, not heard about. I have seen him flush his career in the toilet by trying to show out and get too much publicity, negative publicity that made his fans dislike him. If would have just married Katie, had the beautiful baby, and kept his personal feelings to himself he would have been better off. I lost all respect for him when I saw him go off on someone for squirting water in his face. He acted like such a jerk. It was an unnecessary confrontation where he verbally attacked someone on camera. He went on and on, like how dare you ruin my hot looks with water, don't you know who I am? I admire people like John Travolta. He is a good person on and off camera. He doesn't get mad or act like a jerk to anyone. I used to think a lot of Tom Cruise until his real personality came out.

No I definitely consider him a total freak - no matter how well his movies may do in the theatres!!! He's just shown so many times that he likes to jump into discussions where he has no knowledge at all and yet will act like he's actually studied it and knows much more than anyone else!!! His veiws are totally wacked out of reality!!! I really feel for Katie and Suri!!!!!

He is a weirdo. He's quick to judge others and outspoken on how they live their lives but gets offended if his actions are questioned. He is over the top and seems to be losing it.

I don't care if he is a serial killer or something as long as his movies are good.

He's a complete nutburger with no grasp on reality. His movies may be entertaining, but when he's out of the studio, he needs to stay away from the business end of any video cameras.
