I dont have kids yet. But if i have kids, i think i wouldnt use excessive force against them. Spanking them now and then when it is necessary is ok because sometimes it is necessary to discipline the child.

yes I do sometimes. How often? mm when they make wrong stuff or broke something I beat them. When they grow up like 13-14 is for them to be more careful that`s why I haven't beat my kid since he made 13.

Parents have a right to hit their kids when they do or say something very wrong. It does help to keep them disciplined. But beating your kids over the simplest of issues is ver wrong and can affect the child psychologically.

I dont think beating the kids ever solves any matter related to them,it can only make things worse.Think like this ,when u were a kid how did u feel when someone did beat u up?Kids r very sensitive they need to be understood, cause wat we do and say to them is wat they learn. But this doesnt mean that that we hav to bear all they do,we can be strict in more important matters, but beating the kid should be the last option always.I have 2 kids and I am handling them well without having to beat them up.I m strict only in their studies thats the only subject where i hav ever given them any beating. KIDS WILL ALWAYS BE KIDS DO WHATEVER U WANT THEY WILL DO AS THEY LIKE.

Yes, I beat my child, but I'm not comfortable using the verb, "beat." It sounds too violent. I prefer "spank." I spank my daughter when she has done something wrong. Done carefully, spanking is a good form of discipline. It's a child's nature to be hardheaded, to rebel against rules and rulemakers. Spanking teaches the child to make the association between bad deed and punishment. Classical conditioning, it's called. By conditioning the child to expect punishment for a bad deed, we teach the child to avoid being bad in the first place.
