For the love of your PC or Mac, DON'T DO WHAT I DID LAST WEEK!!!

This is a fatal mistake that can kill your keyboard faster than you can say "Macs Rock!" This happened to me TWICE in one week with my old Packard Bell and eMachines keyboards, and it was intended originally for the good of the PC or Mac. If you have a sticky, gunky, or truly nasty keyboard that screams out "CLEAN ME!!!", then do not, and I truly mean it, DO NOT, do what I did: -Pry the keys from the keyboard one by one -Pour any dishwashing or liquid soap on your keyless keyboard -Soak or run hot/warm water on your keyless keyboard in order to make the dirt and grime dissipate -Fill a mega-glass cup with your dirty keys in hot water mixed with said liquid soap -Stirring it with a butter knife -Letting the keyboard and keys dry after pouring out all the soapy water -Placing the keys back in the keyboard and plugging it in the PC or Mac If you do these things, I can assure and promise you that if you do this, then your PC or Mac will beep like crazy, as though it's a red alert. The beeping will let you know that YOU KILLED YOUR KEYBOARD!! Keyboards are like cats and kittens; they don't like to be washed and soaked, but unlike cats and kittens, they don't clean themselves. It cost me $10 dollars to get a replacement keyboard from Wal-Mart. So for the love of your PC or Mac, DON'T GIVE YOUR KEYBOARD OR KEYS A BATH!!!

What possessed you to do this, I just answered a question this morning about someone who was told to put their keyboard in the dishwasher to do this? Please tell me where you got this idea?

Actually, I had to improvise instead. I was desperate, the keys were getting stuck, and the gunk was hardening.

Thanks for that, you just saved my keyboard, I'll have to hover it or something as my Daughter was on playing her game earlier while eating rice krispie buns ( aaaagh), and as i type i keep hearing crunch crunch, I may need to shake it though. Lol
