I am no Japanese but I've always found Japanese pop songs very nice. A slight, soothing exotic twist to things. If you have not tried it, here's a free online station you can have a go. Check out http://www.smartradio.sg and on the right side (scroll down a little when you are there), click on the "JK-Pop" link. I have taken a screenshot to guide you and you can see it at http://athena.divshare.com/files/2007/03/01/177373/this.jpg . When you click on the link, another browser window will pop up so you might need to enable it if they ask. You will get a window that looks like this http://athena.divshare.com/files/2007/03/01/177367/playing.jpg . After that, just sit back, relax and enjoy. See if you like this, do share your thoughts on Japanese pop songs. Hope you like them, like me. ;-)

Yeah I have listen to some of it before and I really find it soothing and some are really hyper even though I don't really understand the lyrics but the melody and beat can tell so much about the music. I also love all those anime soundtrack, you can really feel the story in there music. Well I think I will visit this site to explore more on there music genre... as they are now consider.

Yeah Japanese songs are nice songs, I have heard 9-10 times only, I heard one of the song in a movie 'Fast and the Furious - Tokyo Drift', it is a nice song by Teriyaki Boyz. And others i have listened in a Japanese game I play ie Tekken.

I was going to bring up Tokyo Drift as well, not necessarily for the pop music but the Japanese dance/techno music has a GREAT sound. I found myself tapping to is & wanting to watch it over & over just for the music! Definitely a movie that has a soundtrack worth buying!

I dig korean, chinese and japanes songs! Even if i do not understand most of the lyrics. How weird is that?! I started liking korean songs after the Korean drama invasion in our local tv channels. It did not take long for me to buy Korean movies, and the soundtrack are just too good. I think the soundtrack of their movies really made a big difference in the show. I like chinese instrumental songs, i bought a cd already, i listen to it before sleeping. Its soothing. For the japanese songs, i first listened to it in manga or anime series. There is one japanese song i love so much it is First Love by Utada Hikaru. A japanese song with an english title.ΓΌ
