kids = processed foods

Do you think kids today ever get enough nutrition from the food that are being fed to them? It makes me really concerned since at work, those kids' lunch are always processed foods, chicken nuggets, pizza bites, corndog, mac n cheese, everything out of the box. The parents are too busy to even make a decent meal and i am concerned if these children get enough nutrition. Sometimes they only have a piece of corndog then all they have are snacks (candies, potato chips, chocolates) It made me feel very thankful that when I was that age, I was fed with decent food, no matter how busy my mom was she does not sacrifice our meals for anything else... and I think everyone should put an extra effort in their nutrition intake, especially the food you give to these growing kids. There are only 3 out of 10 with those kids that gets rice, veggies, meat for their meal. The rest of them gets the same thing most of the time.. What do you think about this? Do you agree that people should put an extra effort in preparing something nutricios rather than stuffing the children with processed food?

there are only a handful fo moms ,even dads who can cook for the family anytime of the day,nowadays.this is a sign of progress and modern civilazation.it is so sad that there are only a few moms who can cook and who has the time to cook.the only solution to this is ,it's either these families gets a cook or cook it themselves (which is impossible).that is why the food supplement business is booming and didn't you noticed that there are a lot of people getting sick of deseases at this time of age unlike before.

I agree with you 100% on this. Very few children anymore will even eat vegetables because they never developed a taste for htem! Their parents nor schools served them and now the children 'hate' them. Children learn to 'like' whatever they are fed when very young. Sadly, our fast-paced lifestyle has led to parents not preparing nutritious meals because they are time-consuming to cook!(actually, once a person learns to plan and practices, they are not that time consuming!!) The use of all the processed food and lack of nutrition has led to the growing (pun intended) problem of obesity. We have all the knowledge we need to stop the obesity issue....cook better meals and exercise more...yet we don't do it! Government is spending millions 'researching' the problem and ways to fix it. It is common sense!!! (which may be why the Government can't figure it out without researching it!)

I am also a good home cook.. I got my son to like veggies and salads from a very young ade. He is now 12 years old and he can toss you up an exemplary greek salad lol. It is very important to feed our kids well. Food is a necessity, not a luxury. It is our paramount duty to do our best. When i stayed at my sis's house for six months, her kids were eating the bes food even on a budget Plenty of veggies and always a salad with every meal. No fizzy drinks on the table either.

Although I am against murdering children in order to create a meal for me, I do have troubles ignoring the health benefits found in the younger ones (2-4 years old). I mean, sure it's wrong to grind up a kid to eat his organs, but if it'll give me an extra 5-6 years, I'll do it.
