Re-read the Harry Potter books before the seventh?

I've actually considered re-reading the entire series just before the book comes out - just to refresh my memory. Plus the transition from book 6 to book 7 will seem smoother.

I re-read the last book before I started reading each new book. Well I bought books 1-4 all at the same time and just read through them one after the other. When I got book 5 I started reading it but realized I couldn't remember all that happened in book 4 so re-read that. Same thing when I got book 6. I just finished re-reading book 6 last night (read book 5 a couple weeks ago). I know when I finally get the last book I will re-read 6 again so all the events are fresh again.

I was just going to re-read the last two books but now that you mention it, it might be a good idea to read them all again. Who knows what little facet might have been missed that will be brought up in the last book. I'm going to have to start on that soon then to read them all before July.

I want to reread them before the last book, but I hate reading them so close to the movie coming out...yes I am in quite a quandry...read before the next book or don't read because of the movie. I find if I read to close to the movie, I am disappointed in the movie, not just HP, but any movie. I don't know what to do!!

I will most probably read the previous books so that I have something to do while waiting for the last book to arrive. I'll reacquaint myself with the story since it already seems such a long time ago when I read the 6th book. Who knows maybe I'll find some hints and clues that I missed before while rereading the books.

I have started re reading them already. Although I've misplace my books 2 & 3 since our move. Sigh. I will probably check them out from the library and give them a go.
