Fast Food Franchises?

I have been curious to why certain fast food chains stay on one coast and do not move to the other. Or why is there the same fast food chain but they are named differently and their menus are different as well. Example: Hardy's and Carls Jr. I only think of this because I use to live on the west coast where they have Jack in the box and here in the south there are none. Does anyone have the answers to this mystery of mine?

What I'd really like to know is, why can't they get my order right around here? It doesn't matter which place I go, my order has been wrong everytime for the last 2+ years.

I haven't really had that problem except at Rally's. We ordered one kids cheeseburger meal and ended up with two hamburger meals and then they left the pickle and tomato on Rays burger. LOL

I know that in WV, Checkers is called Rally's. In WV, you have to ask for a hot dog without chili, every place automatically puts chilli on your hotdog...at least in southern WV. We were some place travelling one time, and I ordered a hot dog, it was literally just the weiner and the bun. I was like, where's the rest of my stuff...LOL...made an idiot of myself. They added ketchup and mustard and chilli for me..then informed me that I didn't ask for a chilli dog. To me growing up, a chilli dog was just that, chilli and the bun, no weiner. Different strokes for different folks...LOL
