I lost my father 12 years ago, the main reason was lung cancer and cigarette. I was 17 years old then and life was kinda hard with only my mother around. I worked part time at the same time continued my studies. It was tough but I'm glad my hard days were over. I stood as the head of the family since I was the eldest of seven. I thank God for giving me obedient sibligs and for giving me a strong mother who stood by our side and supported us emotionally, financially and spiritually.

I feel your pain, as I too lost my dad at 17 years old. Too much smoking and got a heart attach. It was a difficult time, but, we get though it. However, we never forget them. I miss him so much, and lost out so much by not having him in my life over the years. Thank God that He s always with us. Good luck to you dear. Bless you.

Yes its very painful, but im glad I have good memories about him and I cherish those moments we shared together when he was still alive.I have a loving father who took care of me and pampered me, showered me with so much love.

17 years old is very young to lose your father. It sounds as though you have done a wonderful job for your mother, and with your siblings. Keep up the good work and continue to enjoy your time on here.

thank you mipen, I hope I did the good job, during those times crying was the only way out, and God was there wiping each tear that fell and emracing me until I slept.
