In America you have to be 21 years old to purchase and drink alcohol. However, when you're 18 you can join the Army.
So basically, when you're 18, you're deemed old enough to kill people, but not responsible enough to drink. I just found that interesting.

I think it's silly for our society to assume that maturity comes with age. I mean, just look at me, I act like I'm ten...
Then again, it would probably be a waste of resources for everyone to take maturity and personality tests to determine whether or not they can purchase or do something.

Before you diss a country, you should get your facts straight. In some states you can legally drink at age 18, in others you can legally drink even younger if you are in your parents home and under their supervision.
