anyone ever slipped a disc in your back??

Who has had this happen? Did you have surgery? what did they do? and are you fixed now? Are you on meds? I slipped one, many years ago..and then ended up having 3..and 3 back surgeries..and it was aweful! I had a bad doctor..and he ruined me for life..I am now disabled,,and have degenerative disc disease,,and arthritis..and im only 23:(

I fell so sorry for you at such a young age. Im 56 and have 3 bulging disc and one degenerate and have arthritis. They wanted to to back surgery and told them i want to think about it. I founsd out i had two friends that their parents had it done. They are know walking with a walker it really messed them up. I do to a pain managemet clinic. they have me on occicoton for the pain. it helps for a couple of yrs than you get ammuined to them. Try going to a pain mangemet clinic.

yes they made me worse as well..I sometimes wish i only had the one..becuase i lost feeling in my whole right side..and i cant stand more than 3 mins at a time..i went and had pain management..it was a waste..the doctor would only give me ultram and thats like taking codeine basically..i wasnt happy with him at all..and i live in a small town..but if it gets worse in my aging..i may go to another city and get help..but noo more surgeries!! they are baddd! thank you for your response!

My father in law slipped one last year. They operated on him, but it made it worse, actually he has a big hole in his back now where the surgery was so botched. He wouldn't let them operate again, although He definitely needs it. My thoughts and prayers are with you, I'm sure your in a ton of pain.
