Everybody does the little trick with the alarm clock - setting it forward to give yourself more snooze time, or to make yourself hurry along thinking that you're running late. Fine, my husband sets his clock 2 hours ahead. I'm not exaggerating. And then he hits the snooze button every 8 minutes for the full two hours. He never gets up any earlier and he is often late. I tell him if you let your self have those 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep, you might not be so tired! Duh! I either get out of bed before the alarm, or I never go to bed at all. Every 8 minutes, Westminster chimes - which I hear for the rest of the day. I'm so irritated by the time he gets up that I have to meditate in order to be civil. It's happening right now. Oh, wait, today we are getting the full effect - the bells have been ringing for 6 minutes straight. He's too sleepy to hit the snooze button! How can I get him to understand that this is not normal behavior? I really don't think that it is healthy...for either of us.

I think you should consider throwing the alarm clock out the window, lol! I'm guilty of setting the alarm clock maybe 15 mins earlier, so i can hit the snooze button a few times, but setting it 2 hours earlier is just crazy! You're right, he's be better off having those 2 hours of sleep uninterrupted then he'd feel less tired!
