Did you ever commited robbery..childhood experience and debacle...

I had occassion to shoplift but never a robber.

I can't believe I'm going to admit this here in Mylot, but here goes.... When I was 16, I worked in a large supermarket as a cashier. At that time, my friends and I enjoyed smoking pot and partying, and I had a few friends who were "experienced" in criminal activities. One of these friends worked at the same store with me, but not as a cashier. He kind of pressured me into stealing some money from the register a few times so that we could use it to party with. I ended up stealing about $300 over a period of about 2 weeks. One day, I went into work and tried to sign in to my register. The register would not allow me access. I immediately knew something was wrong, so I felt dizzy. Then my manager came over to me and told me that some people wanted to speak to me in the conference room. I went in, and there were 4 people sitting around a table, and there was a stack of video tapes on the table. They asked me to confess that I had stolen the money, and I denied it. Then they asked me if I wanted to see myself on the tapes....I lost it. I started crying uncontrollably, and admitted everything. Fortunately, my only consequence was that I was fired, and of course I had to pay the money back. I have never stolen ANYTHING since then.
