After invation of electronic medias such as tv and computers our children has lost their reading habit. No sooner they return from school even before taking little snacks they switch on the Tv and browse to get their favourite channel. In those days after returming from school we used to read papers, magazines and also go out and play games.Reading gives us pleasure and general knowledge and games gives us fitness. The present generation just spending their time sitting at the table and become inactive and unhealthy. Am i correct .....???

i think this to a large degree depend on the parents. Just because we have tvs and computers does not mean we HAVE to use them all the time. It is still possible to take the kids outdoors to play. It is still possible to start reading to your kids from an early age, thus making them love books and read as adults. I belive the parents are powerful rolemodels. If they stay indoors watcking Tv and playing with the computer at all times no wonder the kids want that too.

tnks for ur comments.your suggestion can be implemented to an extent bcoz the parents can control the children when they are small.when the grow up they hv their own ideas that parents cannot interfere
