Ban on "regular" lightbuls

In Europe, Australia and even some states here in the US are trying to ban incandescent lightbulbs for the more efficient ones. Article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17364944/ Personally, I think this is a good idea even with the supposed loss of job that GE is claiming (why can't they make the light bulbs in the US? why are they coming from China??). I don't like the initial hit on my pocket book, but people have proven how much money they can save a month, how they are better for the environment, and how much longer they do last. I don't particularly like how the governments are going about it, but I guess there is no good way for they to force people to do things that are better for the environment.
