AP banned Paris Hilton... did anyone notice?

On March 1st, the Associated Press revealed that they had indeed put a weeklong ban on Paris Hilton news, to see if anyone would notice. Apparently, no one did. Good for us! Do you feel this was a good idea, or a misuse of journalistic power? I say, great for them. If the news stopped covering her so much, would anyone really regret it (besides, possibly, her)?

To be honest with you, I could care less about Paris; what gets me is, how can anyone think she's gorgeous. I'm sorry, just don't see it; but I guess that's what money will do for you... Good for AP in stopping the publicity, even if it's for a short time.

Ha! Didn't noticed that before reading your discussion. Why did AP banned Paris Hilton? Do you have any idea? Paris Hilton is always on the news. She's doing this, doing that, mostly stupid things. Maybe people got sick of hearing Paris news so they don't care anymore whether she's on the news or whether she's banned.

I think they actually just did it as an experiment to see IF people would notice, and/or care.

I think it's great that they did this. No I didn't notice but just goes to show how little I care about hearing about the goings on that celebs do. Personally I'm a bit tired of all the celebs hitting the news and important things not. Put the celeberties back in the fan magazines and leave the newspapers and news reports to the things that really effect our lives.
