Have you ever been sick and admitted to a hospital for more than three days? I have, and its the worst experience of my life. I wouldn't want to be so helpless ever again.

I am a regular patient at hospitals as I have respitory problems. I never minded the hospital as I was looked after very well, and I might have enjoyed all the attention if I hadn't been ill. However, I don't look forward to going back again and when I am there, I look forward to coming home.

This is the way it should be and very normal feelings but unfortunately it's not always such a positive experience, too bad really.

Darmo Hospital - Darmo Hospital Surabaya
I caught Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever and I stayed in hospital for a week. But the hospital in my city is quite good. It's one storey building with each room ahead directly to a huge garden. It was fun, and I realy like being there. But I son't wanto to ill.

Obcourse I got hospitalized even if am not sick at all. I had become a patient this past weeks eventhough I have no illness at all. My grandmother was extremely sick that time and since she brought to ICU that time we must give up the room because it wasnt allowed to maintain the rooms eventhough you will pay at it. So inorder for us to maintain the suite room my doctor tells me to get admitted. She ordered me for admission so we could have no problem in maintaining the room so when my grandmother returns back we don't have any problems for getting another room as it was hard in such hospital to get rooms for patient as you need to wait for almost half day for available rooms. It was funny and worse things that ever happened to me. Too glad the nurses knows about my situation they allowed me to visit my grandmother eventhough I am an admitting patient as well.

I hear you loud and clear. I was in the hospital about 2 years ago. I got sick and couldn't quit vomiting so I was hospitalized. The nurse came in and saw I was unable to use those tiny little puke dishes and she said well help yourself. I was already embarrased enough as I had not missed the dish but the dish simply wasn't big enough. What was I to do. Then they put me on introvenious and after 2 days the vomiting quit. In the mean time they put an elderly lady in my room. She yelled and talked all night. The same nurse came in the next day and as bad a shape as this lady was she hated that nurse and she messed her bed and boy what a stink that was. The nurse was very upset and told the lady the same thing, to help herself. That did upset me because this lady was bed ridden and not able to even stand much less walk, but I'm sure she knew what she was doing because she messed her bed two days in a row with that nurse, but otherwise she would tell the nurse on duty and the'd put a bed pan under her. Then on about day four the doctor wanted me to try to eat something and I agreed to try, well when lunch came I was down getting tests and when I got back they assumed I refused to eat so they removed my plate. The doctor told me to go downstairs and get something from the kitchen. I did that and they said no way they could just give me something without doctors orders so back upstairs I went. Then supper came and of all things they brought me a very large portion of beets, the only thing in the world I absolutely refuse to eat. A plate of beets and a half piece of dry toast. I ate the half slice of dry toast and next morning I told the doctor to sign my released papers because I was checking out, and I did go home. On a brighter note my husband had quadruple bypass surgery last summer and he was treated like a king. Mind you that was at a different hospital in a biggar city. Go figure

oh gosh, i rarely get sick, the last time and the only time i was ever hospitalized in my whole life was when i was in kinderschool, i was 6 or 7 then. I had a kidney problem from eating too salty foods. I rarely have cough or colds. I think my immune system is super! even in stressful days Thank God.

i had been hospitalized twice, once when i was in high school and then another time when i was in college. both times i was confined for a week. and both occasions are due to the same reason - dengue fever. for those who don't know dengue is caused by mosquito bites. it could be fatal if not treated early. i always have off! lotion with me now as i don't want to get it for the third time. i do not want to go through the whole hospital ordeal again. during those times, they would get blood samples from me twice a day. and i also had a blood transfusion which was painful. my whole body was so sore and there were days when no one could stay with me in the hospital. i was so depressed. but my nurses and doctors were friendly and really looked after me and that made the experience much more bearable.

I have no serious illnesses only colds and coughs and sometimes fever. I'm really grateful to God for my good health. Take care of your health always!(",) Great day to you!
