I used to collect alot of things, thinking someday they might be worth some money. Beanie Babies was a big one ,I have about 700 of them and they are not worth anything right now. My grandfather collected coins, he had coins from all over the world and coins form before christ and when he passed away and needed to get rid of a few we found out that they are not worth as much as we thought and nobody was interested in them. So sad.

no don't be sad... it's worth keeping it for. your grandfather's collection of coins may not be interisting for other people but it is priceless in your family. So just keep it and pass it on to your heirs... great stories from generations to generations is far more rich that any amount of money could offer.

Oh yes, It is priceless to me at least, I have memories of him telling me about his coins and I will keep the ones that I have inhereted and pass them on to my kids and hope they do the same. He would give everyone in the family a box set of untouched coins to everyone on birthdays and he was around long enough to share this with my kids for a few years and the love them.

I used to collect angels. I loved them and everyone bought them for me as gifts too. One year we needed money desparatley so I sold my angels. It was hard but we needed the money pretty bad. Now,I do not collect anything.
