No more sugared fries, no more trans fats. The new word around the internet, is that Prince Charles is removing the WMD from Mcdonalds. Sorry Ronald Mcdonald, but they are coming after you! you and your brainwashed kiddos are gonna get it! and, they are coming after your alquieda pack too! already they are designing packs of cards with the hamburgalars face as their ace of spades.

I am so not defending McDonalds, but no way should the government get involved with closing them down. One, any slightly intelligant person knows that Mcdonalds is not heathly. But if you chose to eat there, then you chose to eat there. It's not the government responsibility to tell a person what to eat. McDonalds doesn't hide their fat content. They aren't hiding anything. It's right there. This burger has this many grams of fat. If you chose to put it in your mouth then no one should stop you.

McDonalds, and any fast food restaurant isn't doing anyone a service by underpaying, and overworking their employees. I can't say I know anyone who enjoys working at McDonalds if they have to, and it is quite destructive to the human spirit. would you like fries with that?

I can't honestly respond to how McDonalds treats their employees. But in the US there are laws as to the minimum they are paid and how many hours they can work. I doubt McDs is breaking those laws. As to other places in the world, I have no idea. And again, no one is forcing anyone to work at McDs. If you don't like it, get another job. There's a Burger King down the street.

No, maybe you are missing the point. It is called Exploitation. Each McDonalds chain (at least, back in the 90's) guaranteed their franchise owners 1 million dollars profit the first year of business. You would think they can do a bit more than 5.15 an hour to their employees who stay loyal to them. There are companies out there, who provide a lot more to their Employees, and make less. yes, exploitation!

I'm really tired of seeing the government trying to decide for people what they should and shouldn't put into our bodies. We should have that choice to make ourselves. When are people going to say enough, that we don't need the government to parent us? If we continue to let them decide more and more for us before long we will be slaves to them and we will not have a choice in anything. I don't want to see that happen. I saw some posted about exploitation of workers at McDonalds. I think a lot of that has to do with the individual owners, not the corporation itself. Some will always try to take advantage of others for their own benifit but not everyone does. I know the ones around my area pay fairly decent and they never have any trouble getting workers.

emeraldisle, do you remember when we went rounds with those people who wanted to ban smoking? if you think about it, more than likely they are up there in McDonalds, eating their Big macs knocking on smokers. if anything, this is a good dose of their own medicine. That's why I think it is so funny! no more Ronald McDonald? boo hoo hoo! (secretly laughing) I'll gladly give up my coveted egg mc muffin just to wipe the smirk off their face.

Before you start talking about shutting McDonalds down, everyone needs to think of the repurcusions. McDonalds purchase more English beef, eggs and other products than most any other company. Ask the English farmers their position on shutting McDonalds down and what it would do to their livelyhood. Also, it's the responsibility of the individual to watch what they eat. No one is forcing them to eat at McDonalds everyday. I have a McDonalds within 2 miles of my house. I go there no more than 7 to 8 times a year. This seems to be an attempt to remove the responsibily off of the sholders of the individual. Do you really believe that if every McDonalds is closed in England, that obesity will go down. I don't think so. They will just substitute food from another source. Just my opinion. Lloyd

well, don't get me wrong, I love Mcdonalds, worked there,(in my teens) and think they are getting the kick in the pants they need.My employer was getting 1 million dollars a year, and I was making 400 dollars a month in a small town, no benefits, no future. (and at the time on public assistance to make up the difference)I was 18 at the time, and on my own. so, I am thrilled by the fact they are giving McDonalds a good kick in the pants for putting their workers on public assistance. They (mcdonalds) are nothing but a menace to society.
