You have the advantage that you have done C programming. I would advice you to buy a good book for java (try 'the complete reference Java2' by TMH) and start practicising programming. The more programs you do, more proficient you become in Java. Try this link for Java Documentation and all java related queries: www.java.sun.com

Hi Dear i think you know that java is an open source and it was developed by sun microsystem. so whatever you require for java you can find on the site sun.com the software updates and the tutorials related to java on this site are free. if you want some more then u can go for maththinking.com thankyou
