Do you own it all the way down to the center of the earth?

No, I think you own 10 metres below the ground. After that you cannot own. But I am not sure 10 or 5, may be someone who knwos best will tell you.

I'm not sure how far down your ownership goes, but I know it's important to see if the mineral rights are included in your ownership. If not, you dont own anything but the above ground portion. For waterfront properties, in most cases, you don't own the land under water either.

It depends on who owns it. If you are an individual, then at max it goes down to the level you find water!!! If you are an oil company then well, down to the level you find oil!!!
